Negotiate with indexung services about including Springer journals in their systems. Preparing journals for the evaluation by various indexing services to increase chances of acceptance. Alert indexing services to problems and mistakes. Help editors to improve their journals for better coverage by indexing services.

Project management for the Astrophysics Data System. Development of specialized database system for the ADS abstract service. Development of WWW services and a WWW interface to the ADS abstract service and to a large set of scanned images. Coordination of the efforts to scan most of the astronomical literature and make it available on-line through the WWW. Programming in C and Perl. Development of WWW HTML documents (see http://adswww.harvard.edu).

Speckle interferometry with a photon counting MAMA camera.
Design and development of a photon counting MAMA camera system and its control and data recording computer.
Design and development of microprocessor-based instrument controller system software and hardware. Operating systems used are UNIX on a Sun 4 host and Wind Rivers VxWorks on the target system. Network programming between the systems.
The microprocessor hardware was based on the VMEbus.
Reduction of data from the Halley Optical Probe Experiment flown on the ESA space probe GIOTTO.
Reduction of data from the Interplanetary Dust Experiment flown on the Long Duration Exposure Facility.
Image processing software packages used are IRAF and MIDAS.
Programming in C and Assembler.

Measurements of gamma rays from Supernova 1987A with a balloon born gamma ray telescope.
Design and development of microprocessor-based laboratory and flight instrument controller system software and hardware. Operating systems used were VAX/VMS, UNIX, OS/9 (UNIX like realtime system), RT 11 (DEC realtime system), and Motorola VERSAdos (realtime system). The microprocessor hardware was based mainly on the VMEbus.
Research and development of user friendly computer interfaces (graphics, touch screen, color etc).
Design and development of two Space Shuttle-based gamma ray experiments.
Reduction of data from the Halley Optical Probe Experiment flown on the ESA space probe GIOTTO.
Programming in C, FORTRAN an Assembler.
