I spent days, one night in the Cisame Camp. It is located on the Approuague River, a 1½ hour boat ride from Régina. The camp is run by local people. It is very clean. The food is good, mostly local food. Sleeping is mostly in hammocks with mosquito nets. They also have a few cots to sleep on. The huts have open sides, no windows. It is warm enough all year to sleep in open buildings.
They provide a range of excursions and activities, from gold panning to forest walks, kayaks for individual excursions on the river, bird watching, drifting on the river with swim vests. I enjoyed the two days in the camp. But one caveat: If you like beer, you need to bring it with you. They do have wine and rum, but no beer.
